Upperchurch! Fancy!
That’s pretty much what I heard when I told my Tipp native sister in law where I was headed that morning. Apparently the locality saw Upperchurch as a fancy Sunday afternoon out! I could see why! It’s quite the picturesque locality and with two fine bars too!
The dowside!
You need to be on the ball when you’re filming weddings. In typical Irish nature and after a prolonged period of amazingly good weather, the heavens opened on this day and remained open for most of the weekend. That didn’t quell the spirits when I landed into Patricia’s parents home though and the craic was in full swing in the Tipp farm house right back up to the Upperchurch Church where I found Cathal and his groomsmen. We got intermittent periods where there was a break in the weather allowing us to get outside for a few shots and in between all of that, I could capture the fun being had inside of the Lakeside Hotel in Ballina / Killaloe where a family affair trad session was in full flow.
Enjoy a snapshot of the day below
As always, no day is complete without the epic vendors who help out throughout. A seriously big shout out to Aileen Kennedy (link below, she’s amazing) for the craic and fun throughout the day
