Cork Like

Covering Friends weddings are always going to be good fun and ALWAYS a pleasure to be asked to do. But when Michael P and Sally told me that it was going to be a two day affair, the excitement levels soared.

The REAL beauty capital

Corks known for a number of amazing things but two things were wholly evident over these two days and that was for the natural beauty of our surroundings, from Kinsale to Ballinacurra House and to the native Cork ladies. Sally was no exception to this rule either. Meeting in Sally’s mothers home, the fun was in full swing and only getting better. The ceremony was set in a local church and performed by Michael P’s Uncle (and an absolute gentleman too) and onward to Ballinacurra via Kinsale for some photos. A tame affair but a very important one as this is where Michael P and Sally tied the knot.

Day 2

With clear heads all parties from the day before prepared for their guests arrival. This one was a mixed bag. As a cameraman, I adore outdoor ceremonies. Natural light, different challenges and with a backdrop like Ballinacurra offers, the perfect set up. The weather however, wasn’t playing ball with us and strong winds made passing showers frequent. Some brides would be put off. Not our Bride though and Sally made her way down the aisle in front of all family and friends for a second ceremony for her union with Michael P. And the rain held off! For the most part.

Family and Friends

The craic was had. The mood was set. The two beautiful children from this beautiful couple were pulling out all the stops and everything was just pitch perfect. And then Sally surprised Michael P with his very own Fire Throwing show just before the first dance to top it all off.

Below is an extract of the day and it’s as clear to see how close this couples connection is with each other as it is with their family and friends.
